  • Wasn't born for another 2 yrs

  • I was in elementary school when this hit! It was scray but actually not too bad!

  • I was living on a military base, they came around and told the neighborhood to evacuate to the BOQ (Bachelor Officers Quarters).

  • Where were you during Gloria, Virginia?

  • I was 11, man if Gloria had went inland, hampton roads would have gotten crushed. it was 130mph when it turned to the north and went up the coast, thank goodness it turned.

  • Hurricane Gloria was my first hurricane. I was 8. I have a pretty good memory of it. It hit here as a Category 2. Since I had a lot of big trees in my yard I was down in the celler with my family, my cat and my dog. We stayed down there for 3 hours. After that I went outside with my dad to see the debris the bitch left. The power was out for that weekend. A tree fell on my roof but no major damage, just a couple of holes in the attic. We're due for another one soon. A BIG one.

  • Nice thats for posting this!
