  • HS1 Driver DO NOT have route knowledge via bexleyheath, under diversion they won't call at strood but run mainline via sole street to victoria. Driver only sign up to Dartford.. 465fan may be passionate but ill informed. I'm a Driver so I Do know ;)

  • @ApOsTle51 Wrong. Many Faversham and Ashford drivers are being required to sign these routes in order that contingency is available. If the lines at Ebbsfleet and as far as St Pancras are not available, drivers run to Fawkham Junction and then Victoria, or via Bexleyheath to Victoria. Thats the diversion station

  • @465fan lol , if you say so, although it's not the case., and it wouldn't be "many" drivers it would be all Drivers and not just Fav and Ashford drivers but Ramsgate aswell to allow cross cover. Getting over 100 Drivers to sign and maintain a route that they don't require isn't cost effective either. Check your sources. I'm not gonna argue the point with someone outside the industry who thinks he knows it all already.

  • @ApOsTle51 I dont need to "think" I know it all - its been widely trained and made available that the classic lines are still given to drivers of HS1 services at South Eastern in order that they can run no matter what! Why do you think so many 395s gave made it to Victoria? Via Swanley or Bexleyheath? In passenger service? Yo're obviously not a driver either....

  • did it start at slade green?

  • @PSNPete1991 It's called a Dual-Voltage system, the train can either be powered by 25kv ac overhead line equipment or by 750v dc third-rail.

Theoretically it could even be hauled by a virgin 57 with Dellner coupling but that's just a theory...

  • @465fan Lol pathetic little child, listen to the grown ups please.

  • I thought all javelins got power from a pantograph, cant see any wires on this rail?

  • Lovly Trains

  • Hitachi rules !!!

  • @465fan hehe , it's pointless giving hs1 the lines "no matter what" when Drivers don't sign them. no 395 has ever run via bexleyheath in passenger service to date because HS1 drivers don't sign the route. mainline drivers sign it and HS Drivers used to sign it when they where mainline Drivers but not now. Stick to 465's , they're old and unreliable too.
