Jasin Boland is one of the worlds leading photographers, having shot blockbuster Hollywood motion pictures like The Bourne series, the Mission Impossible films and The Matrix Trilogy. Another satisfied HPRC cases friend.
I also have a portable work station built in to a HPRC Case...Macbook Pro and 2xLacie1TB Xdrives fitted inside. I've actually Shot a whole feature out of this system...Closes up,goes in my space on the camera truck. End of day take it home to download, backup or whatever needs doing. If the studio is supplying HDs...I just make an insert to fit the HDs they send me and Backup like usual at the end of the day.
Cheers from a fellow Stills Photog...HPRC also have a great HC Backpack...fantastic for when you need to be really mobile. use them all the time in places when its tough to hump your bigger cases. I take a body and 2 zooms in the HC pack and a soft case cross-shoulder with blimp, tubes, some accessories, monopod as a walking stick, and Bobs your uncle...hate waiting for my gear to arrive on a quad, 4x4 or snow sledge.
The 3 cases in the D-movie (it was shot on a D90) are 2700's the cordura bag inserts do have a handle (I too like the idea of an attachable strap), the ability to separate equipment sealed is a big plus and the fully adjustable interior has the highest grade Velcro and dividers I have seen.
I joke about my HPRC's being the Monica Bellucci of hard cases!
Seriously they are not only the toughest out there but they are beautiful too!
The 400 2.8 does fit in the 2700's but after shipping I prefer to keep mine in a dedicated case as that honey is just so heavy, the new 3580 will fit the bill perfectly.
By the way I love my HPRC's, lets face it they are Italian.
Oh and check out the new card cases, they are so tough, I like the Red ones as they are easy to see if I drop them, hopefully there will be additional colours in the future, I would love a glow in the dark model.
What model HPRC cases are those? Are the bags inside 2 separate bags? Do the bags have handles / straps so you can carry them by themselves? Does the 400mm f2.8 fit into one of those internal black bags, then into the HPRC case?

Hey Champ too funny I have exactly the same set-up in my Hard Pack.
My ultra portable kit for exactly that, those hard to reach locations.
Nikon D700 on a 70-200, 24-70 couple of spare batts and an HPRC media case full of SanDisk X4 16 gb cards.
I love this kit so much sometimes it's all I take when I just want to get on and off set quickly!
Good to see you on here.
Cheers,
Jasin.
