Blues Lesson - BB King-style Lick - Expanded

The lick isn't too difficult, but getting that slide from the 12th to the 17th fret takes some practice.

All you "Tone Nazis" gotta give it a break. I admit the tone isn't the best, but a lot of it has to do with the crappy built in mic of the camera. For the newer lessons, I'm recording direct the computer via Guitar Rig and a Line6 UX1, so the tone isn't distorted by any mics. BTW, it's a 330, not a 335. My bad.

I also love BB king and clapton. what kind of guitar are you playing in this video? the neck looks great. I love that ebony fret board with that mother of pearl. Thanks for sharing the lick. Don't worry about the tone nazis. Anyone with half a brain knows that you can't judge the tone of a guitar based on what they hear on YouTube. I has a lot to do with the effects, amp, mic, recording technique, etc, etc, etc. I'm sure your later ones recorded directly sound much better.

in a perfect world...we all sound and play like BB King and SRV....in the real world sometimes it is just cool to have someone share their gift of knowledge with the rest of us who actually could use it and appreciate it..thanks for sharing...funny when I figured out what you were doing..it sounded fine on my end :D
