  • so to get to the point the put the loop throught the front of the hook eye and it will be better for striking the fish????

  • yes i dont understand thats why i said im confused to what u mean... i said the hook sits like a snell knot would if it was a snell knot. so thats what you mean. i looked at a snell knot when i read your first post. still didnt answer me so is the video right or your way right? ive being fishing all year m8 but i have being using crimps and beads and half blood knots to make the snoods/rigs but why would i use them when there is no need? just do dropper loops and surgeon loop for weight?

  • @montymagic1987

No, you don't understand the point I was making. The knot doesn't matter so much as the position it holds the hook in when a fish pulls against it. Research Snell knots on hooks and why they work then you will understand my comment and the point I was asking about. A dropper loop is just fine - just go fishing or you won't catch anything. I caught nothing this past summer because I never got around to going fishing.

  • im thinking of doing both ways in a 2 hook rig, one in the front and the other in the back?

  • @CaneFu hmmm... so what is better for hooking fish? im confused now, snell is done with a single piece of line? no? or just through the front and around hook is a snell knot? or the hook sit's like a snell knot u mean?

  • @CaneFu Yeah you can do that too.

  • It seems to me that if you stuck the line in the front of the eye first (rather than the back as you did) it would be similar to a snelled hook and make for more hookups with fish. Am I correct?
