Beautiful sounds and nice techniques that I'm sure Ted and Lenny would smile upon BUT what happened to the audio / video sync? To try to learn something from this unless you already have a real head start has to be frustrating. This is several seconds out of whack and I sure hope it will be fixed. The shared lesson is much appreciated!
god of course!! I always wanted to know how ted got that almost 'double harmonic' sound with chords - thought he was doing something weird and producing two clean simultaneous harmonics - but it's just one harmonic and a regular note - wow - so simple. thanks!
This technique (fingered and open harmonics combined with normal tones) has been known for hundreds of years. Francisco Tarrega (1852-1909) wrote a reasonably well-known short piece using it called La Alborada (The music box). There are some recordings on youtube, see if you can find the barbosa-lima version (some of the others aren't very well played).
Great Videos, thank you for sharing these. Seems like they are a year or 2 old will we ever see #3 of more videos here???
One thing that is a great idea is to go to tedgreene (dot) com and check the video section there and DON'T MISS the clips from MI - the harps intro to "Send In The Clowns" will blow your mind
will somebody please put more ted greene and lenny breau stuff on youtube, holy fuck they are good at guitar
