Street Fighter 4 Grand Finals Final Match

Combofiend (VI) vs Ken I (RUF)

Sorry for the poor quality and lack of audio I was capturing it with a hand held power shot from the Ufrag.tv live stream. There will be HD .vod's of this up tomorrow so this is just to hold until then.

Amazing clutch comeback from Combofiend for the win! Congrats Valle / Combo!

  • @De4dEyE well ken did take long, and he looked over with his coke and was wiping the screen making everyone laugh. Peter knows it was a clowning act to slow the pace of the game and put him off. You don't know man.

  • @roggy12345 How was this 'mindgame' supposed to phase combofiend? Peter didn't even see Ken do that - this is a head to head cab..

  • SBO is completely random and should never be used to compare players unless they've won multiple times and win lots of tournaments outside of it. Kyabetsu got raped hard at God's Garden and Shiozawa Cup, and usually gets beat to death at ranbats. He is a mid-level JPN Viper at best, he was just on fire that day and had a lottt of help from Oogosho who OCVd Nemo/Mago, a crucial victory. Granted, I think all JPN vipers are better than any US. And Marn's Viper is nowhere near as good as Flash's.

  • nah they are used to it. You know how many years these guys have been playing this game...not to mention all those intense final moments? The only tournament i feel where a player must have been feeling the pressure was justin wong at this years evo..everyone in there at first was booing him till the end when they wanted him to bring a title to the US..haha they will get hyped up though when someone wins againts a rival thats for sure..especially east coast

  • Ken i was a bit stupid there. He tried to play mind games getting a coke and wiping the screen,Thats not his style or personality, only justin wong can do that shit well, it didn't faze combofiend at all. Combofiend had a look on his face like "he's taunting us". Then CF played even better and whooped him, at the end with that comeback, it just shows Ken i was the nervous on. When u got a lead if they are standing u can back off, but when they on the floor u got the advantage...So dont back off

  • Man, the only tournament I ever performed in was in a Lan party with about 300 people and in the finals I could feel my shoulders getting all cranked...I can´t even imagine the pressure pros have to withstand in national level tournaments.

  • I think the time frame was also had a big part to play. The tournament started at like 10 that morning until these finals at 2 am. Besides the SBO's arent until August anyway, plenty of time to work out any kinks...

  • these tournaments are intense, i can only imagine the levels anxiety they must of had. Even for the most experienced players they still have to overcome the crowd and the pressure. These things online play just can't prepare you for.
