  • This set wasn't built to stand. It is your typical movie set, made cheaply. The Reimer's must pay great land taxes, in the millions, to keep this up. I wouldn't call him an idiot. Atleast we have hundreds of photos, video, and the '04 movie itself to remember this wonderful set by when it finally succumbs to nature or demolition. For a more historically accurate interpretation of the Alamo compound, visit the Bracketville set.

    i mean its a good replica of the real alamo well if anyone could give me more info about this set i would sure apricate it.

  • Haven't visited the set yet and probably never will.

    I heard the owner of the land is letting it fall apart as he really doesn't want it there anymore and sometimes won't allow visitors, which is sad.
