  • people that talk like that have no respect, and often think that "mexicans" are stupid, so spanish is stupid...

(at least here in nebraska this is a common thing)

Kind of ridiculous considering how popular a language Spanish is worldwide...and almost any other country has a multilingual population.

An american that refuses to learn and to properly pronounce another language (other than english & TXTing Shorthand), is quite an anti-american, indeed.

  • @deafomega AGREED! Honestly, I was the kid in high school who refused to learn Spanish for the sole reason of "if they're coming here, they need to learn our language". And I was extremely ignorant. Now, I just want to learn as many languages as I can in general, but I'm noticing how much Spanish would actually benefit me, not to mention the fact that I want to move to Puerto Rico...

  • happy birthday!

  • @blackhorror12 Thank you! :3

  • That's hilarious. Just had someone in my Japanese class speaking with the American accent like that today. Happy Birthday! :D

  • @wobina xDDD Thanks!

  • @molly0616 ella no es ignorante solo esta tratando de perfeccionar la pronunciación. Además no es como otros gringos q se burlan del idioma.

  • As a Spanish teacher I find YOU quite ignorant. I want my students to try and do their personal best. Your attitude is exactly what I fight in my classroom. I try to create an environment where my students feel free to learn and take risk. Not being a native speaker of Spanish I know there are some parts that I am not going to perfect. Most native speakers are happy just to see someone communicate in their language, let alone the fact that their pronunciation is not perfect. Que cara tiene!

  • @katexgg I think most people at least try to grow up after leaving high school, a lot of us just naturally desired maturity. It is those choice individuals that stagnantly cling to their ignorant attitudes...man those people worry me...

I wonder, how can they afford to act so ...fluffed? Like, they don't need to participate in the world outside of their little piece?

Refusal to evolve, and a desire to retain ignorance (often out of comfort), is exactly why everything is so bad right now :P

  • @TastyBeef1 "Felicidades" or "Feliz cumpleaños". :3

    xD And thanks.
