Food and Agribusiness in Rural Markets: USAID assists the Government of the Republic of South Sudan in achieving its agricultural development and food security goals by improving agricultural productivity, increasing trade, and strengthening the capacity of the private and public sectors to support market-led agriculture. As the competitiveness of selected value chains improves, regional trade in agricultural commodities will flourish, facilitating further transformation of the agricultural sector, higher rural incomes, improved food security, and better economic opportunities for the poor.
