As college students return to classes this school year, many have a way of avoiding buying all those textbooks. The iPad is allowing students to carry just one device, and possibly save money along the way. The AP's Haven Daley has more. (Sept. 2)

  • iBook2 posee los INCENTIVOS correctos para ser un ÉXITO. Económicos: -Costo +Capacidades. Morales: -Uso de Papel. Sociales: Universidades, Estudiantes y Editoriales mas importantes a favor. Twitter: @SuperFrekonomia

  • @WotTehPhok really its the easiest language out there

  • Actually our school is using iPad now instead of notebooks. We use the Ghostwriter Notes app to take down notes. Available via majorspot[dot]com and this app can be yours too!

  • I don't understand how taking notes on an ipad is faster or easier than OneNote on a laptop.

  • @KeshnerfFilms god damn java. I could never learn how to use it.

  • I am glad I came across this video so I can share it. My cousin still till this date isn't interested in an iPad because he thinks it's just a big iPod. Not even an iPad can be as useful as this in school. I'm awaiting my iPad 2 in the mail :D

  • The future is finally starting to get here! :D

  • @PolishCutie93 I know there's course smart app which has lots of textbooks. There is also some places that sell textbooks as pdfs such as Nelson Brain.

The problem with them both is the textbooks have a limited time use 6 months/a year, if anyone knows any way of getting eTextbooks for an indefinite period of time, tell me.

  • how do u buy textbook for ur ipad?, where are they getting them? and im going to the app store on itunes and typing in "inkling" and nothing comes up??? but how do you get textbooks? in 'ibooks' cuz i just dont kno wat to do... ?:(

  • This is amazing =]

  • there's always a better way

  • i want one but they cost so much and the give away free ones always come with strings attached to them

  • I want my hitchhikers guide

  • ill buy in ipad for the university

  • I have a friend going to university in Hungary and he told me all their textbooks are avaliable online for any internet capable device, free of charge, cost covered by tuition. But the geniuses in the US system have decided to go with high unit cost virtual textbooks that only operate on one medium.

Way to go. Way to go.

  • Tablets have been around forever. if this company will only make the textbooks for Apple products, i say boycott this inkling place.

  • I agree.. this is like an ad.

  • @puppydog88 cuz the school system is run by the "government.' Its common sense to transition to ebooks, ipads etc these days, to save time and money.

Where are our tax dollars really going?

  • So.... I guess AP is under the Apple buck now. This doesn't bode well for their integrity.

  • @SITTINHIGH22

No choice....on-line classes. My classes are not offered on campus.

  • I don't know why people don't just start using iPad's and ebooks for their books. Its cheaper and less shit to carry around. I spend about 500-675 a term for a book. Its crazy.

  • goodbye print media lollll

  • @pvtjamesryan3 um... if its so bad, why r u on the computer?
