@SZS0001 i think rap originated in west africa hundreds of years ago wen african priests rapped over a drum beat also RAP didnt originate in ec but i think HIP HOP did. i was told hip hop 1st started wen dj kool herc emigrated 2 the bronx and cos of the culture in jamacia people rapped ova beats and he brought dubbed jamacian beats 2 the bronx but those dub beats wer probably from r&b etc just like u said
