Breath of Fire low level game - LLG - Soldiers x 2 and General

Ahhh, the first time that I had to decide who would get experience from a battle. I have decided that, unless someone else thinks of something better, I should raise all characters as evenly as possible, when possible.

I didnt realize until after making the video that the first two battles here are exactly the same, with exactly the same outcome. Sorry about that. And yes, I know I am using Final Fantasy music, I have the soundtrack for this particular game from years ago.

I did each of the first two battles twice to see how the experience would affect my levels, then decided to kill off the Hero to avoid giving him another level. I am not rich, so I guess I should have left and used an inn to revive him, but instead I just used a Life item after each match.

Hero - lvl. 9
Nina - lvl. 6

Like I stated before, the second battle was exactly the same as the first.The only difference is the music.

All right, the General and his buddies weren't too hard, but I didn't know I had to fight them back to back. I haven't played the game in at least three years, so most bosses are a bit cloudy in my memory.

Interesting decision... I expected you would go for a lowest possible party average type of LLG.

I think when I'm playing an LLG in this game, I'll go with the GBA version because of the ridiculous shop glitch.

how do you mean? by just choosing four people and keeping them really low? or what?

By distributing the experience in a way that affects your levels less. e.g. you have four party members and you choose the survivor based on their current amount of experience to next level. Many ways to do this, of course.

unfortunately, there is no way to know how much experience is needed until leveling up. So I do each battle two or three times to see in what combination would the least amount of levels be raised. That is why I killed off the Hero in the two soldier matches. Because he would have raised a level otherwise.

Yes, I noticed. It also seems that this has been fixed in the GBA version. You can see how much experience is needed until next level in that one.
