Elie Tahari Show - New York Fashion Week Spring 2012 NYFW | FashionTV - FTV

http://www.FTV.com/videos NEW YORK FTV knows this was Elie Tahari's Spring/Summer 2012 collection at New York Fashion Week, but in a way, it almost looked a little like a luxe resort line, especially with all the Mediterranean, Greek and Roman goddess themes from the gold gladiator sandals to the fluid turquoise skirts. Others called it Egyptian-inspired and explorer chic (how could you not with all the pioneer khakis) but there was a sophistication that rang through even with those harem pants and mesh. Tahari seems to particularly excel in his tailoring of muted and monochromatic tones--the collection seemed to explode with his whites and beiges in the beginning and the black at the end, while the yellows, teals (with feathers and snakeskin prints) and oranges were less exciting because so much was going on at once, but all in all, another elegant collection from Mr. Tahari and one that will likely be a hit with Tahari fans around the globe.
