  • Hey Larry boy This is the best of Ok Jazz.I remember my dad used to listen to this song in Lubumbashi around 1976-78.The song is talking about a guy who divorced and got married to a second woman who doesn't want to take care about the kids from the first woman..Are you gonna choose the second woman or your own kids? That is the dilemma,as soon as you divorce with your first wife, the second wife will bring more problems than happiness...

  • Thanks Nouvellement, now I can actually enjoy the song much more, knowing what the great master is talking about...and yes, those were the days!!!

  • Man, I wish I could understand the French, but thanks!

  • This song is abt a wife who left her husband+4 girls(Sylvie, Mimi, Fifi and Aluka makambo) 2 get married 2 a wealthy man. These children are mistreated by their stepmother despite the daily advice. The man is overwelmed and doesn't know what 2do. So he advises us:Soki okuti bana ya mbanda bokola malembe, bazua ya mbanda na yo tika pembeni bokola bana oyo=if u get married w/ a divorced man w/ childrn, u're expectd 2 raise these children like ur own, 4get abt ur husband's ex just raise the childrn

  • Thanks Hilaude, for the best translation so far! Much appreciated

  • Oooooh! My God Larry boy! What happened? How can this LP end so abruptly like this? Where can I listen to the whole piece! Can some one help?

  • LARRYBOY, I NEVER SAW YOU AT THE BUNGOMA JUNCTION TO GIVE YOU ROASTED MAIZE. WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU BRO?......YOU HAVE DONE WELL BRO, WE HAD THIS IN THE OLD SINGLE "RECORD" VERSION, TODAY AT THE PUNCH OF A KEY YOU CAN LISTEN TO LOADS OF OK JAZZ - THE GREATEST GROUP IN OUR TIME - WONDERFUL.

  • Luambo was more than a poet this song will make you cry but men should remain srong just remember woman means" malheur a l'homme!"

  • Guys im looking for more sahlomon remy videos, in my own opinion he is the real king of soukouss. Have any hed a chance to get videos for the albums saturady night fever 2000, Mathematics of love 2004 and Sit vas ten(with hit songs babe goodbye)

  • @larryboy1995 i'll translate it for you (as a token of appreciation for posting good music) he writes: this song makes me really scared, I have a little girl, 5 years old, who lives with her mom, I now realize that I face a real dilemma by making my soon to be wife raise my child, (now the Lingala part: "pourquoi mibali tolingaka...") why do husbands love their stepsons or stepdaughters but women don't like their children (?), its really sad, sometimes it makes me wanna remain single. Cheers.

  • I was raised with a stepmother and coincidentally my father used to love this song so much but he didn't want to translate the meaning to our stepmother yet she was somehow abusing us.

  • @MyLaurena Do not Judge as you Judge as so you will be ...... My dear Zaico kobanga te shiiit happen .. linga mwana nayo po basi baza ndenge .. Ex mwana azalaka tse mais ex mwasi azali .....
