@abccoy all thats good in theory but who's going to stop them? You? Are you going to help them? They have no-one, not even enough money to eat. A woman has no rights in countrys like this.

Poor girl, just laboring for four days sounds so tragic, let alone losing control of your urine for 12 years :(

AMAZING, but this sure was short for a Documentary.

timely C-sections. smaller mothers tend to have small babies, even older mothers with small pelvis can have the same problems. really poverty is the main cause as in gulf yuonger mathers rarely have such problems

They need to chop the penis's off those scum men. Thats the only way to stop this. Very sad for these women.

I saw this on Oprah. There is a very wonderful white woman that helps these girls get their fistulas fixed...its supposedly a very easy fix! These poor young girls are forced to marry at 12 & are not developed enough to give birth. There needs to be a law that says a girl can not marry until she is 17 or 18! This is so tragic and preventable! There are too many men that want 12 yr old virgin brides. Then when this happens to her, he dumps her and she then is ostracized by ...nice, Huh?

You can always do something about it!

Horrible English!

so sad

Most of this could be avoided if people in under developed countries didn't marry children. You can't knock up 12 year-olds and not expect there to be issues.

I had this happen to me with the birth of my first child (and I live in the US). I was lucky enough to be able to have the necessary surgery and live a normal life unlike these unfortunate women.
