@pangea7777 Part 2 of 2
"our actions determine if we are worthy to enter the temple" reminds me of this
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Luke 18:13-14

@pangea7777 Part 1 of 2
"our actions determine if we are worthy to enter the temple" reminds me of this
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
Luke 18:10-12

@pangea7777 "follow our own beliefs"
He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Mark 7
If Mormons follow Christ why do they have pentagrams on some of their temples? Used 3000 BC to represent a pitfall, later sign of the devil.
Mormons follow their own beliefs not the Christ

@jamielv Thanx for the correction.Yeah now I remember! I haven't seen that commercial since the late 70's or early 80's so I wasn't entirely certain of what exactly he said. Hopefully peoples interest in seeing that commercial again will lead to it's being uploaded on youtube by someone who has it.

@whyyyyou "You can't get down IF YOU CAN'T HEAR the sound". I've been looking for that commercial for years and thought I had finally sound it...but my search was just bringing back your comment.

My favorite commercial involved a black family. After having a bad day at work a father exploded at his son and daughter for playing their records too loud. Then after some soul searching he came back out of his study and said "Hey!! If I've told you once I've told you a thousand times!! And you too young lady!" [pointing at his daughter] "That you can't get down unless you turn up the sound!" He turned up the volume on the hifi and busted a move with them. I'd love to see that one again! :)
"Jesus taught us to love one another and that includes our familes. It is the most basic unit of humanity. Family with all our imperfections is important. We say a lot more by our actions than our words."
I have a friend at work who wasn't allowed to watch her daughter get married in a Mormon Temple because she isn't Mormon. What the heck is that all about? You're right, actions speak louder than words.

@kd1645 yes and if you understood that the temples are a place that all of us aspire to be worthy to enter then you would also understand that not all members are allowed into the temples either. Actions being that if we do not follow our own beliefs then we are hypocrites and the truth is not in us and that our actions determine if we are worthy to enter the temple or not. It all comes down to choice, if we choose to follow Christ and show by our actions we love him then we may enter.

Tell me, do you have the commercial where the Mom and Dad come home and catch the kids having a fight with the hose, so the Dad goes in to grab the camera?
