At least you have sirens, and know they work! Sorry about the flooded basement - I'd help bail out if I lived with ya. =] In Texas, where we NEED shelter, none available (except a teeny tiny claustrophobic sized half bath - get two fat chicks in there, no ROOM for mattress LOL). Weather patterns are screwy EVERYWHERE. Good luck, stay safe, hear?

That's frequent lightning - and the sirens - scary, scary stuff - hope you had a basement to shelter in, we in Texas aren't that lucky! I'd a been hiding in there, TRUST me. LOL

Our power got knocked out for 16 hours so our pump didn't work. Spent the whole night and much of the next day taking bucket loads of water out of the basement. This was the first time I heard the tornado sirens go off in Chicago. Crazy.
