Montage of clips from Keith Olbermann and (mostly) Rachel Maddow, regarding BP CEO's (Tony Hayward) June 17, 2010, testimony before the House Energy and Commerce Committee, focusing mainly on the ranking Republican member, Texas U.S. Representative, Joe Barton, who offered a heartfelt apology to Hayward and BP for the White House's "shakedown" of BP and $20 billion "slush fund" creation from the day before. Rachel puts it all in perspective as she analyzes it in terms of the broader Republican Party.

  • @edgehead31593, Exactly what did Rachel say that qualifies her, according to you, as a "dumb ass"? Don't just re-spew your conclusions, be specific. Propaganda? What exactly did she say that was untrue? Again, be specific (if you don't know what, "specific" means, look it up). What did she say that, according to you, makes her an "extremist" (other than she disagrees with you or the Republicans)? Again, be specific. My guess is you think it's trash-talking, because you don't understand it.

"this lady is a dumb ass

this is like watching fox times ten"

So you think that BP shouldn't pay out to victims and to undo damage to the environment? Or do you think Barton didn't apologize to BP? perhaps you don't think Barton has a personal financial interest in that rig?

Do tell us exactly how she is outfoxing fox, because it looks to me that unlike Fox, Maddow is right on the facts, is not lying and does in fact care about what BP has been doing.

  • @1037pm Technically, Chenny's company (Halliburton) who built that rig potitioned the US goverment to NOT make them install a secondary shut off valve on the rig because it would cost too much.

Bush/Chenny pushed it through congress to not make Halliburton install the secondary shutoff valve at a cost of $500mil per drilling platform.(one of those late night congessional votes that don't get televised)

BP wasn't "really" responsable for the accident, but they were a willing by standard....

  • How about that Glen Beck! You railed on President Obama for appologizing and look what happens. Someone from the Republican Party does the same. Of course, those clips were probably never shown on the FAUX (FOX) Network.

  • Do you know how to tell elections are coming? Simple, the demagogues on the left are scaring people into voting for Big Liberal Government party.

"Beeeeeeee verrrrrry afraid when those boo boo Republicans take over they will give big scary corporations unlimited powerrrrr."

I stopped watching Maddow once I realized I'm no longer 12.

  • Republican. Texas. Responsibility. He backs corporations. He backs big oil. Why should we be surprised. Other people must take responsibility, not us.

  • @apinsent89 Whoah! 1) The economy where I live is the best in the US. Jobs keep opening up everyday. 2) Good for fricken Canada... but how does it feel to always be casted in the shadow of the US? 3) No, but I do believe people who are interested in politics about a country, have a better understanding of them if they actively live there. 4) I thought Canadians were supposed to be nice? 5) I would like to apologize for the rude epithets I may have called you earlier. We all should get along.

  • @ihartscience lol1) i don't need to impress someone who dismisses an argument because of the nationality of the debater 2) the funny thing actually is that our economy is doing way better than yours :)lololololololololololol we didn't have any banks fail or go into any trouble because we have regulations preventing risky loans.......your the only one thats allowed to have facts on both countries..lol but i see your well studied on our economy.go to bed and fuck your glen beck doll

  • @apinsent89 It was quite the quaint discovery, when I found out that a NON-AMERICAN <(ya... I said it) was commenting over a US political video. I guess it's because you rely on our economy so much, to benefit yours. But no one will ever admit that.

You took yourself away from the debate, not me. You were quick to the gun pulling the "idiot right winger" card out. Let me tell you something, it did not impress.

  • @ihartscience lmao thats because you took us away from the point lol it became that i'm canadian instead...lol endnote

  • @apinsent89 You're done, eh? You never even discussed the topic at hand. Typical lib. Preaches about self-righteousness and how ignorant they are, when they are the ones who know nothing.

I would have a level-headed, rational debate with you, but you seem a little ill-prepared for such.

    I bid you adieu.
