@aptlyspoken2u 70% of the cartels income from the drug trade into the U.S. is from cannabis. As it is now, we have growers on a massive scale here in the states, with many dispensaries already getting their product from local grow ops. This would bolster revenue, reduce criminal prosecution of harmless citizens on a massive scale, greatly hurt the drug trade from Mexico, and finally be rid of such pointless laws. Things are starting to look up, but theres still much to frown upon in this country
In this bad economy, fewer people are buying drugs. The REAL PROBLEM is out of control spending. And all THIS would do is open a door for taxation while opening the door to more drug trade wars in Mexico and more destroyed lives in California. And it WILL NOT fix, but only patch at best, the deficit spending here. Dopers are not voters mostly, so I doubt it will pass unless you pass out free joints on campuses.
Please, all Californians, register to vote and pass prop 19 this November!
