This is what you do in Vang Vieng, rent a tube (or hawaiian borrow one), meander down the river, stop at every bar, have some buckets (a bucket filled with a libation), and partake in the many different swings and jumps set up to test your courage.

Vang Vieng was so much fun. Can't believe how much cool stuff has been added since I was there, when the swing and flying fox both came from a platform tied to a tree.

Ha. I was there a few years ago. I opted not to rent a tube, and decided to swim instead. Bad idea. I almost got sucked under a couple of times, because the current was rather strong. It was during the rainy season. But anyways, yeah, good times. I encourage everyone to visit Laos.
