Bob Mould (w/ David Barbe) - Makes No Sense At All / New Day Rising - Treasure Island Festival 2009

ob Mould's regular bassist couldnt make it to the gig as his wife had gone in to labor.
So at the last minute, Bob called up David Barbe to fill in.
It was a (pretty much) SUGAR REUNION (!!!!!!) and that was a huge surprise and a major treat for me.

This is the dream trio- Mould, Barbe, Wurster. No disrespect to Malcom Travis, but Wurster owns ALL of Mould's material. The Best.

Bob really seems to be getting more comfortable w/ his legacy. His smiling and extreme gratitude to the crowd is infectious... Yet, another reason he is a living legend IMO....That and the fact Dave Barbe was there.... Yes, doesn't get any better than that. If I could see that band doing Husker as well as Sugar (and Bob solo) material? I don't need to see a Husker Du reunion...
