As an extreme nerd who happens to also be of the female variety, I can tell you guys--Just. Be. Yourselves. If a girl isn't going to like you for who you are, she isn't worth it. Don't hold back the nerd- girls love it. (Also, we don't mind a good fart joke now and then, just not every five minutes)

@xEmberSHx you maybe right..but somehow I feel, in today's generation partners are too individualistic. When being not emotionally available is actually the fault, to cover it the whole needy theory is put up. I can love you but I can't put up with your emotional needs. In old times couples used to support each others..no matter what. We are scared these days. Thats why we break up more. We can't just consider and think more deeply. Everything is so light..

@Kabla21 I think it's sort of a scale. 'I could spend hours with you and not notice time passing' is sweet 'If I don't see you for one day I'll break down' is OTT needy.

And if someone is too needy it's scary for their partner, because it's putting them in a position where someone elses happiness relies on them. It becomes stifling.

And if you're going to spend your life with someone it should be because you don't want to live without her, not because you feel you literally can't.
