iPhone 3G 2.2 fw GLITCH UNLOCKED IT

THIS IS NOT A FACTORY UNLOCKED IPHONE 3G
I USE ISMART PHONE TURBOSIM

THIS IS A GLITCH I DISCOVERED BY ACCIDENT

I have no idea how can this be real or true... well, this is what happened...

i upgraded to 2.2 thinking it would still work with turbosims...

id did not worked, but i noticed that when i but in the sim w/the turbosim the signal bars would appear for a second then say "No Service"..

so i dialed 611 right before the signal bars would disappear and the call went trough...

then i tapped add call and marked "#225#" for BAL, for t-mobile phones...

then i noticed that the "T-Mobile" name at the top of the screen went static, before it would move left and then right, now it's just static..

i pressed the home screen and while on speakerphone, went and added the "epc.tmobile.com" APN

then iwent to the home screen then i ended the call, and wallah, it works with t-mobile service provider...

but until i remove the sim card or put it in airplane mode or reset the iphone...

internet works, but the strangest thing is that i have the "Carriers" option in the settings menu...i think this is only available on factory unlocked iphones..

the baseband upgrade suppose to block the turbosim, but it lets it connet to the network for less than a second, i used that time to make a call, so it locks to the network, then i add a call and transmit data, not voice data, but actual data, i check my balance, check my minutes, and then my message usage, it works while you are in a call, then when i hang up it stays locked to tmobile....

how do you get to network slections?? i know its in the settings, but i just dont have it and would like to know how to get it.

LOL! you let my secret out the bag! you kno if you dial a new number while in a call you can bounce from call to call. but once you hang up the funs over. Also if you on a prepaid sim and do this trick you don't get charged, well atleast i didn't with Att.

i tryed it aswell and i got the same results no signal after i end the call and i tryed everything #646# #686# #225# #999# nothing

Hi everyone

I tried the way Carlitos said... it did work like he said but when I ended the call.. it said no service again. I did make a call and check my minutes, voice mail, and all.

I wander where is carlitos from in CALI. so if someone tried and it worked let us know how. thanks in advance

if this is really happened like carlitos said in the video. He has found the glitch and we can still use the turbosim I meant the old turborsim for 2.1 not the 2.2. I going to try it out the carlitos said see if it will work. Thanks carlitos.

when you receive the message saying how much you owe, that is DATA, the call is VOICE DATA...
