@DCTheGuitarist 95% of the world uses the term "American" when referring to a citizen of the United States. Your personal choice isn't the standard of the world as you believe. Also, your attempt at being intellectual is hilarious. Keep it up.
@DCTheGuitarist@DCTheGuitarist Someone in the South America continent would be called South American. Someone in the North America continent would be called North American. However on this side of the hemisphere we refer to ourselves by our country, which has the word America in it, which is why we call ourselves Americans. What else are we supposed to say? lol. Please stop letting your irrational anti-American emotions interfere with your logic.
Not really you are just proving my point, JUST because your country is the middle part why should you have the monopoly on the name America. It is correct to address anyone from that/those continent (s).This proves that you nation has a massive over infatuation with itself, hence why you are continuing this discussion dispute being blatantly wrong.
@DCTheGuitarist South America is full of countries which we use to refer to its inhabitants as. People from Brazil like being referred to as Brazilians not as Americans or South Americans. Canada inhabitants like to be called Canadians. Our country is called the United States of AMERICA hence American is appropriate. Nice try butterteeth.
That was hilarious, and I'm a Brit! Piers Morgan is such a twat.
