What an epic cover...I love the contrast of the window view of the trains passing by while they unveiled heart felt beauty in their hands to a gloomy day...priceless.

@ahniditab I believe the album "Neighborhood" was a Manu Katche led project - although it does feature Wasilweski throughout. Just thought it might help anybody looking for it. It's one of my favorites!

As a drummer, I would love to play this style of music. It allows for so much sensitivity, sensuality, and musicality. This is one of my very favorite "jazz" trios on ECM Records. For that matter, they are one of my very favorite trios anywhere.

@ahniditab just fyi marcin wasilewski trio used to be called the simple acoustic trio before (with another drummer) - you can get some of that on itunes

I searched for a type of jazz music that I would like the most. I came to piano jazz trios, and then to Marcin Wasilewski Trio. Great music with poly-rythmic/melodic interaction.

I just bought the CD 'January'. of the Marcin Wasilewski Trio which contains this song and also Diamonds and Pearls, and another one on which he plays with Manu Katche also with Slawomir Kurkiewicz on Bass called 'Neighbourhood'. Both won't disappoint you, I'm sure!

I have both CD:s, Neighborhood and "January" by Marcin Wasilewski Trio.
Both are great but "January" is one of my
very best piano trio jazz CD:s, after Bill
Evans Trio "Sunday at the Village Vanguard".

LOL! Those were my first ones of both artists and quite cheap because the ECM-company has a 40-years anniversary and launced these attractive offers. Maybe I'll see for the Evans CD as well ;-)

Starsi mogą się od Pana Wasilewskiego wiele nauczyć. Pewnie duży udział miał Stańko, ale talentu nie można wyuczyć, jego się posiada :D Wspaniała muzyka, można jej prawie dotknąć ...
