Thats not what intrinsic/extrinsic motivation means.
Intrinsic: motivated to do something for the very sake of doing in (ie hobbies).
Extrinsic: motivated to do something because of other, not directly related reasons (ie working for money at a job you dont like).

It's great to see the lectures for this course are still appearing, I was beginning to lose hope :P.

Yeh! Richard Buckland lectures are back!! I have a folder I save these to so I can watch them at least twice and have them as a reference. These are the best online computer science materials around.
