LIONS TIGERS "New Beginning"- Big Cat TV

Watch as we let Joseph and his pride of another lion and two tigers into their new large enclosure. These cats have been settling in since October 2007 and getting use to their new life here at Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida. Sadly, there are still at least hundreds of cats like them out there in the U.S.
Some states have little or no laws regarding ownership of big cats. And those that have tough laws lack the abilities to enforce them. Few people realize the small amount that eventually find a decent home at one of the few good rescues/sanctuaries out there still take away resources that could be spent on saving these animals and their habitats out in the wild. We need to restore respect for these big cats here in the U.S., and to help us help them stay out of bad situations like we saw for Joseph's Pride, log on to:

Why the tiger does not have canine teeth?

All these cats had their claws and canine teeth pulled except for Joseph who still has his teeth. They were used by a lady as photo props so she did this to make them "less dangerous" although they could do a lot of damage still!

FYI, if that happened, it would create ligers. If a male tiger and a female lion mated, it would make tigons.

@reaceuk86 umm and people where you are are not fat? they are fat because of an iresponsable caregiver in the place they were rescued from. besides from my experience someone that picks on anothers faults tend to have those faults themselves and just wont admit it!!

@reaceuk86 As explained in the video, the cats are overweight because of the prior owners who were very irresponsible in the care of the lions and tigers. Nice to know that there are no overweight or mean spirited people where you live. ;-)
