Students Sue Crown College (Tacoma)

King 5 Broadcast of filing of class action lawsuit against Crown College of Tacoma, WA. Crown College settled the lawsuit for $87,000 despite its executive director John Wabel's protestations of innocence after it lost a similar suit at trial and paid $77,000 in attorneys fees and punitive damages. Crown College has been successfully sued three times now because they lie about their transferability of their credits to regionally accredited schools. Crown College lost its accreditation on July 30, 2007 and has shut down. Several of its employees are being investigated for financial aid fraud.

This school is a rip off! They misrepresented their accredidation to me too; I spent and wasted my GI bill , time, and out of pocket expenses for credits I cant ever use. I was overseas and thought they had a program that would help me to complete my degree while serving overseas, instead I got taken advantage of and lied to.

First of all, local news sucks. These guys interviewed pissed off ex-employees who had been fired and hatched a scheme to extort money from a GOOD SCHOOL. Second, Bernard Choi is a total douche.
