Iraq is induced with multi billion dollar investments, currently a tower hotel (30 floors) is being built in central Baghdad (harithya), also a 37 floor new central bank, 1 billion dollar Parliament building is also contracted for, etc.. There are numerous projects all over Iraq.

Take my word for it. You will not recognize Baghdad in 5 years time. Oil is finally paying of for it's natives.

@iraq49 Agreed. You now have a water purification plant in Baghdad, and I do see it improving. They really need to recylce that mountain of cars down by the prison. The Green zone is actually quite nice but only visited once.

@iraq49 I had to reply having served there. Iraq is getting fucked from every side. No matter what the haters say, I never met an Iraqi I didn't like. As a matter of fact they were leading us to the bad guys. The Irqi men I have met did not want to join the army because they would sent far away not be able to protect their families.

Got to admit never seen any Iraqis abused, not children, puppies, grandmother's or anything else. Did see what was left of an Iraqi girl's head after her father smashed it into the ground. On all my patrols the kids knew me. Joe with the candy and water bottles:)
