I would like to meet the guy who burns swamp spruce and rotten soggy black poplar for heating fuel. The oil and gas industry is required to salvage all "SALVAGEABLE" wood. Before posting ignorant comments that try to inform and "smarten up" those of us who do this work for a living, try doing the same. Google EFR, forestry practices, alberta public lands handbook. I could say a lot more, but tire quickly of informing the un-informed.

you meathead. you really should look into facts before you spout off at the mouth and end up looking like a retard. We do the best not to damage the enviroment and everything we build will eventually be rebedded to natuaral formation. You enjoy having heat in your home well this is how we get to it!!!!
why the hell do you just burn up all those trees while i cant find reasonably price fire wood. is that not a waste of a valuable resource? in a world short of affordable resources its seems retarded to waste heating fuel to access heating fuel. smarten up!

well dumb ass all that wood is mostly garbage trees non salvageable wood... it is poplar and cotton wood and black spruce...the black spruce is no more than 4 inches in diameter....also the oil companies do use up as much of the resources as they can. for the most part there is not enough money to be made from that wood and if you would like to travel to Fort St john british columbia and get yourself some fire wood have at'er!! There is all kinds!!! By the way we do replant! JERK!

We build ice roads in the winter, using as much snow as we can get and lots and lots of water!!! In the summer time they fly from site to site to service the wells as the roads are impassible in the summer. The area these videos were shot at is North of Fort St.John, British Columbia. Thank you for your comments! It is a beautiful part of Canada!! And I hope you enjoy your Natural Gas!! Now you kinda know how the first part of the drilling process works! Thanks again! EddieMac

Guys do you leave the CATS running at night or will they start the next day?

We usually plug the CATS Block Heaters into a Generator Station that we bring into location. Then when we flash them up in the morning, let them warm up for 20 minutes, then warm up the hydrolics for a few minutes, then DIG IN!
