@radcon15 shit, the speed control on it is mechanical. it is worthless to begin with. depending on budget, go to nitrorcx.com and select electric boats and click esc or motor. i would say upgrade to brushless. more performance.speed.battery life. just a thought

@43Wyattlong 530's I think.
Thinking of buying this boat again but put brushless

I have the same boat.
Fried one of my motors when I put a 3400 mAH.

these woulde be allot fastere if the props were mounted right they are catchong air from the wake they need to be down farther so they are lower than the bottom of the hull

@43Wyattlong nope they are required to be out of the water at least 50% of the rotation or the little 380 direct drive would never turn it fast enough. they are at the lowest on the hull that a prop on a direct shaft can be attached.

@43Wyattlong there are several xp 16on you tube couple with flex shafts and a few with brushless dual and single . i have a few of each typr the nikko 30 inch is flex teflon liner and the villian is outdrive with bushed shafts and there are a few others not posted that are upgraded however based on the videos of the others the xp 16 really works well with dual 380 brushless and solid shafts stock.

I have the same boat, will i burn out the motors or speed control if i use a 9.2v battery?
radcon15 2 years ago
the system uses relays and some have made it work with 8,4 volts no problem and a few 9.6 volts no problem. and some went up in smoke. depends on the quality of the parts they used at the time of manufacture
