This reminds me of a National Lampoon radio bit that's a Mr. Whipple Charmin commercial gone wrong. Mr. Whipple approaches a dude (with long hair, looked like a woman from behind) caught squeezing the Charmin. The guy attacks him for being a weirdo who "gets his kicks off talking to ladies about toilet paper". He calls his buddy over to hold Whipple's hands behind his back, then starts squeezing other various items in the store to make a point.

Rita was and IS a comedic genius as well as a brilliant vocal performer! I would have sat in for Luis Avalos (or any of her male co-stars) for NOTHING to do a skit with her!

Yes, this is from an early episode of The Electric Company (I'd look up which one but I'd have to rehook up the VCR, heh heh... too tired this morning). Luis Avalos plays "Mr. Whoffle".

November 19, 2007: Dick Wilson, Mr. Whipple from the Charmin commercials' fame, died today at age 91. RIP, Mr. Wilson.
