I was at this game..BJ Symons really looked impressive..what was it? 496 passing yards? (Going by memory on that stat) - The Navy FB also impressed me..I can't recall his name right away.
BJ rocked, never even left the field after losing teeth...the Texans were fools for never playing him in a game. He would have made Carr look like an idjit.
The game was blatantly against Texas Tech I think mainly because the war had started and they wanted the country behind the military. I remember the announcers were very blase when Tech scored and when Navy scored it was like "TOUCHDOWN NAVY!" and the ships would fire off all of their guns. Eventually Tech's players decided to snub at Navy and "dropped the bomb" on one touchdown. We got called classless because of it but at that point it was like "Hey, we're here too so fuck you guys."
