  • Are you planning to do a downswing series here in Youtube? I think everyone would really benefit from it, as this is a crucial part of the golf swing. Including the "transition". Let us know.

  • I wasn't planning to discuss the "downswing" as a solitary topic in the form of a swing video lesson. I have discussed the transition in my downswing chapter and other review papers on my website.

I plan to discuss the transition in a swing video lesson on alternative methods of starting the downswing - when I produce a swing video lesson on "swing modifications for inflexible and elderly golfers".

    Jeff.

  • Thank you all the time and effort in posting this fantastic swing information. Haven't seen anything better in explaining, demonstrating the golf swing. Great stuff on the straight left wrist, body rotation, impact position, etc....

I will be referring to your videos for a long time. Should help immensely with curing my flipping thru impact.

I will include a link to your videos in my forum profiles... Any chance you will sell a DVD with all your videos?

    Thank you again!!

  • I do not presently have plans to produce DVDs.

    Jeff.

  • Great series. I have read a lot of different sources and I believe that you have broken down the golf swing in an easy to understand yet also technical manner. I know understand why the back swing is so important i.e. it ensures that your swing remains on plane when you start the transition. I would be interested to know how different types of backswings (and there are many on the pro tour) manage to get the swing back on plane on the downswing?

    Thanks

  • @Cahnt I agree-Ive used a lot of internet advice for my golf, but Jeff's work is the best, by a distance. Following his papers and videos has taken me from 14 to 7. I had a huge over the top issue, and only his very thorough video got to the route of all the things I needed to change. I still go back to these videos when problems occur. Too many people want an instant quick fix and aren't prepared to perservere with hard work-these types will struggle with the presentation, I enjoy it

  • @cockywatchman1976 I like the so-called basic presentation! It's all you need. The man is a conscientious scientist and has done a great job in applying the scientific method to understanding and explaining the golf swing. Solid, no-nosense, and with the great care and integrity of the scientic method. The presentation adds to its charm. I hope Jeff is derieving the satisfaction he deserves for this most rewarding project he has undertaken with such attention to detail.

  • Thank you Jeff, this was tremendously informative. I've never heard it explained that the left wrist only cocks up but the right wrist only hinges back on the backswing. One of many revelations you've unearthed for the legions of golfers confused by inprecise instruction. You've done a great service to us. Btw, have you tried going on a flexability programme to enable you to turn more fully on the backswing?

  • Hi Jeff!I am a golf professional from Austria. I am researching a lot on TGM lately and ran into your videos and your website doing so. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into your projects and really enjoyed listening and reading about your interpretations. It really helped me a lot. Kind regards, Christoph

  • Hi, My english is not good but i understand this great video. Its a best swing video lessons. thanks you very much. !!!! muchas gracias por tu dedicacion y compartir tus conocimientos !!!

  • Hello Jeff,

Thank you so much for all the time you have put into all the information and videos on your website. It is by far the very best instruction I have come across. I will look forward to your next installment.

    Many regards, Jette

  • You should do Jeff-this is as good and better than most of the stuff out there. If you can see past the basic presentation this is a superb video!

  • It appears that you have approached golf from a scientific point of view. You seem to have a very good understanding of the golf swing and physics. Its really cool.
