Eternal Source of Light Divine, from Birthday Ode for Queen Anne (1665-1714; assumed the throne March 8, 1702; last of the House of Stuart - - lost 13 babies in stillbirth, 4 children before the age of 2, last son and heir before the age of 11), by George Frideric Handel. Alfred Deller, countertenor.
Eternal source of light divine
With double warmth thy beams display,
And with distinguishd glory shine,
To add a luster to this day.
No trills on neither the vocal NOR the trumpet??

America's favourite British Monarch -- Her Majesty's Portrait still hangs in Virginia's House of Burgesses....
And Handel's beautiful music is a fitting tribute! :)

secondo me canta male, anche se fa il possibile per interpretare il brano. A tratti non sembra neanche un professionista. Forse perché il suo era un tentativo pionieristico. La versione di James Bowman sembra mille anni avanti.
