Marcellus Shale Lecture — Dr. Langhorne "Taury" Smith

This video is one of two parts — a lecture on the geology of Marcellus Shale, followed by the Q&A session afterwards. This is the lecture part, and it's from April 7, 2011.

The main speaker, after introductions, is Dr. Langhorne "Taury" Smith, who works as NYS Geologist within the State Museum, which is part of the State Education Department.

The video record for this lecture was withheld for never-explained reasons for six months afterwards by sponsor SUNY UB. However, it was forced into the public domain by the blog NY Shale Gas Now — through a request successfully pursued under New York's Freedom of Information Law (FOIL).
