Curse Of The North is a band from Seattle, WA featuring members Christiaan Morris, Patrick Taylor and Nick Cates. After Christiaan and Patrick's old band Black Houses had seemingly run its course in mid 2010, both members were looking to start the band they had always wanted to start. Enter former 3 Inches of Blood bass player Nick Cates. Together the members of Curse Of The North set out to start the no frills stripped down heavy metal band they always wanted to start. Drawing from the music they grew up listening to such as Black Sabbath and Metallica, Curse Of The North push to write songs with a darker sensibility. Curse Of The North is currently in the studio with producer/engineer Matt Bayles(Mastodon, The Sword, Botch) working on their first full-length album.
