Did anyone notice the part where it said "I'm A Single Mother"? Lorelai was married to Chris when she wrote this letter and when she put that she was saying that she is a "Single" mother. I thought it was funny cause that proves she didn't feel like she was married to Chris, right?

@gilmoregirl235 to be fair, she referred to herself as a single mother even when she was engaged to luke, like when she told anna she;s a single mother herself. im not saying it in favor of chris, im a luke fan too, i just think regardless of who she married lorelai would always refer to herself as a single mother because she raised rory on her own

That is one awesome recommendation letter. It's so nice that even thought Luke and Lorelai didn't part on great terms (or even very good ones) that she still wrote this letter for him and put so much effort into it. Just goes to show you how much she cares for him, and the finale shows how much Luke cares about her.

"once Luke Danes is in your life, he's in your life forever." i love L/L...chris had history with Lorelai, but only that: history. he was never there when the GG's needed him, and he could never keep up with them. luke stayed through everything and always tried to make lorelai happy...chris was too immature, he made big gestures and never followed through. luke was always there, and always will be. i honestly don't see how people like chris, he was such a baby about everything!! L/L forever! :)

This scene is really sweet. It is great that Lorelei put in the effort to help Luke keep his daughter. Luke was the best father figure that Rory had growing up.
