Jubilee is a model of the Sentinel industrial engines built in the 1960's & 70's to a stylish modern streamlined design and were to be found in many rail connected industries. Examples of this ubiquitous locomotive could be found in coal mines, steel works, cement and china clay works, docks etc around the country and some were exported to Europe. At that time Sentinels were owned by a division of Rolls Royce who not only provided the diesel engines, but went on to build similar engines under their own name. The model features two axle mounted motors with individual drive to each axle, sprung suspension, heavy steel chassis and spring buffers. Power is provided by a small motorcycle battery via a state of the art electronic controller, a larger battery can be accommodated in the driving trolley. This one Has the full sound system.
The controllers them self are built by us to our spec and have a very low voltage drop between battery and motor (0.2Volt) They also have soft start, ramping reverse, controllable top speed, ramping up, ramping down & braking. You can plug in a remote control, a complete sound system or change the switches to illuminated press button. The sound system has start-up, idle, accelerate brake squeal, air horn, station announcements, guards whistle, decelerate, engine shut down.
