I saw him on this tour when he came to Tasmania and did 2 nights. He didn't want to come but in the end he did but they had to switch dates so he had a day off. So the 2nd concert was one the 1st night and the 1st on the 2nd night. Luckily I had tickets for both. I know for sure in those he did both Healing Hands and a solo version of sacrifice. There was a lot of publicity about how hard he was to deal with on this tour but I had a ball at both gigs.
Unfortunately, Elton didn't play those songs. I heard from someone that was pissed off at the promotor (he didn't want to do this show) and was forced to do it. So he played a VERY short show (like 90 minutes), and didn't include any songs from Reg Strikes Back (except for Part 2 of Mona Lisas) and Sleeping With The Past. He actually walks off stage after Sad Songs (and concludes the show).
I own one of these RD1000's and I can say they kick ass. Based on a Yamaha CP80 electric grand they have a really cool unique sound in their own right. I run a phaser through mine for some amazing sounds. This series was my favourite period of Elton conerts - ripped on coke and looking great! Good set list too!
@thelurker25 Your right. You did win the argument. I couldn't compete with an intellect like yours. You really are a wasted talent just posting here on Youtube. You do have all the neccessary communication skills to reach a wider audience.
Like you said it is sad news that Elton still uses that setup. Next time I''m chatting with Matt Herr and Dale Sticha I'll try and get them to do something about it.
@ppdub73 You have no clue about what the fuck you're talking about. You showed no evidence to support your claim like I did. LOL @ your Elton John collection - that just shows you're obsessed with him, not that you know anything about his concert equipment.
We both know I won the argument and now you're just sulking about it. Face the facts and deal with it, bitch.
@thelurker25 Actually. I did know that. I'm surprised with your limited vocabulary that you even knew that. Or did someone tell you? Written in crayon for you. I have over 1000 shows on cd, so I have some knowledge of what I'm talking about. But since you decided to lower the tone of the discussion with your carefully chosen insults, I'll leave you to write the next chapter of how to win friends and influence people.
@jaggass It is a hybrid Yamaha piano that uses MIDI modules. He still uses this Roland today, just the module version of the one he is playing here. So yes, the sound of the piano is still the same - just the appearance is different.

Piano's sound much better than the best electronic keyboards/equipment ever made - end of all arguments.
