No, Neway was the first one who sang this song. It has been remade a few times by Berhanu and others, it was also performed on stage by Teddy Afro. The original and the pioneer of it is Neway.

@filfilu I very much doubt it is Teddy Afro's work. This rhythm has been there for very long. Even the album released by "La fontain" in 1987/1988 has a song with thye same touch. The lyrics came with different formats different times. So, it is more of "public" lyrics. It is not purely teddy's. You remember Yirga dubale..Hageren hegeren ayilim wey sew...so it is more of "public" lyrics..not anyone's

He remix it with masinko entertainment (dj mengae). And for the remix even teddy gave him the lyrics and style. And after that teddy sometimes sing it during his concerts just like hageren alresam by neway kebede.

Hey filfilu thank u for posting this video. I just want to tell u something. The guy(ethi0nz) did not ask not only whether teddy afro created this song or not, but also he asked if berhanu redid it after teddy afro. And u said yes u r 100percent sure. The trueth is teddy afro created the lyrics and the style for birhanu tezera on the album "Bade badesa!" which was released in 1993 e.c(2001). In general teddy is the creator of this song and birhanu is the vocalist.
