The City of Lancaster and Los Angeles County Fire Department officials gathered at Fire Station 33 in Downtown Lancaster to unveil the Fallen Heroes Memorial, a monument to honor the brave men and women who have sacrificed their lives to keep the public safe. The monument was inspired by the memory of firefighters Arnie Quinones and Ted Hall, who gave their lives in August 2009 while fighting the Station Fire in south Palmdale.

  • Thanks for forgetting to mention the EMTs and Paramedics that DO NOT work for the FD. We run the same calls as the FD we just dont go into the fire.

  • Lori was my history teacher last year......Im so sad over this still :(!@!!

  • I've met several fire fighters in the type of work I did. And everyone of them were very nice, down to earth people. I know how their families feel, because our family went thru a great loss too. My heart goes out to their loved ones! And I'm sure, there are many, because good people are loved by many...my prayers and thoughts are with them...
