I know it is very overwhelming but I had a cleft pallet when I was born It is very common to have. It IS a miracle though. It was very upsetting to my mom, especially when she tried to feed me because the milk would juts come out of my nose due to the cleft pallet, but under the age of 1, i had a cleft pallet repair done (the hole in my mouth ceiling), and another one done when I was 13 and now everyone can understand me very well. COngrats to you guys, bless your little boy

Thank you very much for sharing your story; my baby is having his cleft palate repaired in two days. I cannot seem to be able to concentrate at work; all I do is count the days. I know he will pull trough because that is all he has done since the day he was born. Thank you again!

thanks for sharing! My baby is having cleft palate surgery in a week :/ kind of nervous cause he's so much older, but seeing Kai makes me feel better :) How old is he? How is he doing?

ummm he will be fin i know this becouse i was boren with a cleft palet an im 13 and i had that surgery a cupple days after i was boren and im just fine and i always say peopple with cleft pakets are the best peopple that walk the earth so if you need help getung threw this just message me ill heplp you!!!

I have cleft lip and cleft palate, I am now 17 years old and am only just stopping treatment for all the various effects of them. Well done Kai!

that's tood bad. i have a friend (and a friend of my brother) who i think had a cleft lip, and no one (i think) has harrassed him about it. sorry about the harrassment!
