  • I've done crochet Christmas ornaments in the past and found it much easier to mix the glue and water in a ziplock bag then put the crochet work in the bag and squeeze it and work it around until it is saturated. I squeeze off the excess back into the bag for the next piece. Then I stretch and pin and block it. Easier than painting the glue around the pins IMO

  • Hi! Thank you for inspiring me! I definetly want to do that, BUT i wish you would do a tutorial on how to crochet a snowflake too. For beginners it's much easier to follow a video tutorial than to read directions. Anyway thank you :)

  • I use modge podge, thinned with water and dip it... then squueze it out, block it, then spray with clear varnish for ornaments.

  • I use wallpaper paste. Soak the whole thing completely in it, and then lay it out on a surface covered with cling film for a couple of days. You can also shape your work around moulds for a 3D finish. Works very well with felt too. Sets pretty hard!

  • I use liquid concentrated starch. Pour it into a plastic bowl with a lid(to keep whatever is left over) and put my flake in and make sure it gets saturated. Squeeze it and lay it on styrofoam packing squares. (good way to recycle and repurpose those) print off a geometrically perfect graph and put plastic wrap over and tape the wrap underneath. let dry 24 hours and then flip it over to continue to dry. spray glitter when dry.

  • Wow... This snowflake is breathtakingly beautiful!! I especially love the color of yarn you chose -3

  • When I watched your video, it would not load past 0:49, so I could not harden the snowflake. Could you please tell me how, Mikey?

  • Awesome!

  • Too limp for your taste...BUAHAHAHAAHAAA... I just love Mikey!!!

  • Mike, the non-stick foil works well. I also use styrofoam vs. box lid. It's so much easier to pin and unpin on that surface.

  • Awww i love this and snowflakes come out soo pertty :)

  • I LOVE watching your videos and how excited you get when good things happen!
