( Ashes to Ashes ) Gene Hunt - Hurt

Gene Hunt is Sam Tyler's angsty man replacement in the sequel Ashes to Ashes, and god does he do it well. This video is a dedication to the newer, darker depths of Gene Hunt. I imagined it as him saying good bye to Sam Tyler "my sweetest friend" and resolving himself to what this new police force has become. However, as much as Gene likes to be the hero, there is still some one that can help him along the way too.

This almost made me cry. Great clips, great song, great editing, great acting (from Philip). I never realized how different Gene is in A2A vs. LoM, but you've made me see it. Won't look at him the same again. Wow.

I always thought this would be a good song for Gene. Especially in regards to the fact that Sam is (apparently) dead and that inevitably Alex will leave too.

I confess to getting slightly emotional at the reference to Sam with 'you are someone else, I am still right here.'

Since seeing Gene I thought this would be a good song for him. I'm surprised it hasn't been used yet to be honest.

poor gene thou sams dead his wife left him and alex will leave and she can't jump coz she has molly if he is real he could meet her in the furture or present good I hope they don't sent gene off like they did sam I couldn't bear both of them having a crappy ending
