This video shows 8408 pulling the Mt. Cuba Express. Engine 8408 was built in 1940 by the Electro-Motive Corporation (EMC) of General Motors and served the Baltimore & Ohio in freight service on the Landenberg Branch until 1982. It was purchased by the Wilmington & Western in 1982 for freight and passenger service. The 8408 produces 600 horsepower and has a fuel tank capacity of 600 gallons. She is our only locomotive to have served her entire life on the rails of the Red Clay Valley.
