Plan your holiday to Cornwall with our fantastic online guides http://www.visitcornwall.com/
Autumn is prime time for hitting the waves in Cornwall since relatively mild air and water temperatures combine with regular swells and less crowded beaches to give the some of best conditions of the year. Whatever your ability and level of skill (and there's no better place to learn how to surf) autumn is a great time to get to Cornwall for some surf action.
As you enjoy the natural environment there are dangers to be aware of especially while you spend time around the coast. When on the beach be aware of the tide times, especially high tide, as you might get caught off-guard unable return the way you came and face the dangers of rocks, cliffs and strong underwater 'rip' currents. Observe the advice of RNLI Lifeguards and carefully read notices at the beach entrances. Please note that RNLI Lifeguard cover is only provided at just over 20 selected beaches in Cornwall and at only at peak seasons. For more information visit http://www.rnli.org
