  • Looking for Slumach's Gold? lol

  • @staticincanmore

Yeah we are sorry for trying,

  • I found an old old reminants of what was a cabin; it was covered with 6-10 inches of moss.

Near this area, I found a creek with plenty of quartz and you could see the silver (blackend in color) I sat down on a rock near this old cabin...looking towards this trickling creek. And I noticed a LARGE (3.5-4 ft dia.) spruce with initials TM carved into the side. One could tell that these initials were carved a LONG time ago. I think a woman, Tiley Malcom (not sure) once spend time looking for gold?

  • @Mooseracks

Yes there was a expedition of made of all woman who tried to find the mine they got there hands on what they believed was a map to the mine made by Jackson himself one of the first founders of the gold. Can you tell us more about the location of this cabin?

  • @Mooseracks

Can you remember any names at all.. Like names of creeks in the area? Were you on the west side of the lake the east side? The Upper Pitt or the lower Pitt?

  • this guy must be a religon nut case.

  • @TheWyodon

The masonic symbol in the vid has nothing to do with religion its been suspected that perhaps the masons where behind the looting of a site way in the Upper PItt mountains near Iceworm creek. So I used there symbol to stress this.. Perhaps a education in symbols is a good idea before jumping to conclusions. Thanks for watching and commenting though.

  • @Crom2000 Not an easy place to describe the location;would have to show/point one in theright direction; I'm thinking if there were a mine in this area,it might be buried/covered,This cabin was most likely built in the1800s;Being a bit of a rain forest area;over-burden grows fast;but for a wood cabin to collaps to nothing more that a barely noticable bump under moss and bush, takes years;I never returned to this location, moved away';but think about the possobilitie of finding something

  • @infinus5 soon after leaving the area, cronin headed to smithers bc and in 1901 began work at the babine bonanza mine where he was badly wounded. there is no other info on Holly or on cronin. in the smithers region he worked at least 30 small mining operations and made alot of money from galena. his mine is now infamous in the region due to an accident at the bonanza in 1912.

  • ok what i have found is this. Cronin wrote the letter to a man called Conner Wakefield who was his partner and backer at the time. this was in the mid 1899 just before Cronin packed up and left his operation. his other partner Jake Holly, was off at another claim the two were planning to work. Holly later died at the other workings when a tunnel caved in. Cronin wanted to stay and work a little farther but did not get the funds and left.
