This is the story of Pegasus' mother, the infamous Medusa. The circumstances of her downfall also led to the birth of one of mythology's most beloved characters--the winged horse Pegasus. Most people have never been told this part of the story.
Performed in the style of Lotte Reiniger's silhouette animation. This is my final project for my Intro. to Animation class (2007). I apologize for the horrible video quality. I hope you can still read the text :-)

I would appreciate it if you could say a few words about your technique: was this mostly real paper cut-outs, or a digital simulation? Did you keep the pieces together with strings?
thanks for your comments! i agree about the narration...i wanted to animate a few more scenes but ran out of time (school project). method: everything except the waves are real paper cutouts, jointed with staples and tiny brads. the backgrounds are also hand-cut, and it was all animated on a light table using istopmotion. thanks again for all the helpful feedback!
